Founded in 1969, Brookside Golf Course is a public golf course set in the beautiful north-central region of Ashland County. As one of the finest-maintained and operated daily-fee facilities in all of Ohio, Brookside prides itself on providing a quality course and welcome atmosphere for all of its guests.

In order to best accommodate its guests, Brookside Golf Course employs three tee locations, measuring up to 6,511 yards from the longest Blue tees and as little as 4,915 yards from the forward Gold tees. This 18-hole course offers up a challenging round with plenty of water hazards and a par of 71, as well as a maximum course/slope rating of 69.8/113.

The first hole gets players off to a great, if not daunting, start. A long par-5, No. 1 forces a drive to the left or at least a carry of more than 190 yards to carry the lake on the right. Other notable holes include No. 5, the shortest par-4; No. 9, a par-3 at which club selection is of critical importance; and No. 18, a par-4 that doglegs slightly to the left, requiring a solid tee shot for any chance at birdie.

One great aspect of Brookside Golf Course is how it provides helpful amenities that make players feel at home. The course is open to the public, 7 days a week, from daylight to dark. Brookside retains the services of a PGA professional who manages and retails a full line of golf equipment and apparel at their pro shop. The shop carries plenty of great merchandise including clubs, balls, accessories, gifts and more at reasonable prices.
