The Greens at Beaumont
The Greens at Beaumont, an 18-hole public golf course in Brewerton, provides a serene golf experience throughout its 150-acre layout. Surrounded by mature trees and lush forests, this course offers a harmonious blend of challenge and relaxation, suitable for golfers of all skill levels. Originally opened as a 9-hole venue in 1952 and expanded to 18 holes in 1965, The Greens at Beaumont has evolved into a staple of the Syracuse golf community.
As a relatively flat course that's easy to walk, it appeals to those seeking a straightforward yet engaging round of golf. The greens are of average size, with water hazards enhancing the challenge on two holes. While not heavily wooded along the fairways, the course's design utilizes its natural features to offer both strategic play and scenic views.
Playing to a par of 71, the course stretches from 5,535 yards at the forward tees to 6,235 yards from the back tees. The 18th hole, a challenging par-5, is the longest at 510 yards, offering a robust finish to a round. Conversely, the 4th hole presents a quicker test as the shortest at 180 yards. Golfers should particularly note the 10th hole, a demanding 400-yard par-4, known as the course's toughest challenge.
After a day on the links, players can unwind at the fully stocked bar in the clubhouse, affectionately known as the 19th hole, making it a perfect spot for post-round relaxation and celebration of a hole-in-one or a well-played round.
The Greens at Beaumont has been a family-run operation since its early days as Skyline Golf Course, continuing to offer a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere that enhances its appeal as one of the most accessible golf courses in the Syracuse area.
