Roughly 45 minutes from both Toledo and Cleveland, the lush, aptly named Green Hills Golf Course awaits. Cut out of the rolling hills of Northern Ohio farmland, Green Hills began construction in February of 1957, when Robert S. Crockett, Sr., and his three sons, Bob, Jerry and Tom, went to work turning their farmland into fairways. To this day, the same family owns and operates the resulting golf course, and their success has rewarded them with two others in the region, Woussickett Golf Course in Sandusky and River Cliff Golf Course in Fremont.
Green Hills Golf Club is a par-71 layout that measures out to 6,239 yards from the tips with a course/slope rating of 69/117. You’ll find three sets of tees at this course, which will accommodate both the weekend warrior and scratch golfer for a fun, relaxing round. Green Hills has generous undulating bent grass fairways framed by mature trees and greens featuring 30 to 40 sand bunkers. Water certainly plays a role through the front nine, with a guest appearance in the back nine as well.
