Joe Bowers, Teaching Professional
Spend an hour training indoors or outdoors with long-time teaching professional Joe Bowers, an instructor with over 40 years of improving student outcomes under his belt. Joe's professional goal is to take all aspects of your present golf swing and enhance it without changing it.
Joe has been teaching the classic effortless golf swing nationwide for 45 years. The Joe Bowers Golf Aacademy year-round instruction and teaching philosophy is based on a strong pre-shot foundation in approaching every golf swing with every club, including the short game and putting.
The lesson will follow Joe's personally developed "G.A.P. System":
• Grip and Grip pressure
• Aim of club and Alignment of stance
• Posture and Position of ball
Using this step-by-step methodology as a mental checklist for every shot in your round will give you confidence in your approach — as Joe says, 80% of success in golf is setting up properly to the ball.
With countless hours of research, Joe can show you graphically that the greatest golf swings of all time use the same process and techniques you will learn and perfect. The most important understanding for a right-handed golfer is to favor the left side, i.e. the target side (and of course, the reverse for left-handed golfers).
The golf swing is a battle between the target side and the trail side, and when the trail side wins, bad shots occur. Joe will teach you how to set your trail side into a passive position at address.
Learn and build in the off-season at Appleton Indoor Golf or during the season at the Chaska Golf Course range and practice facilities.
