Bass Lake Golf Course
Tee off on this luscious piece of landscape that sits perfectly below the snow and above the fog with today’s feature: $20 for 18 Holes with Cart at Bass Lake Golf Course near Sacramento ($40 Value. Good Any Time until February 15, 2015!)
Born into a Sierra Foothills setting, Bass Lake Golf Course plays into the beautiful surroundings of dramatically narrow fairways and natural lush landscapes. With an untamed environment and demanding target layout, this golfing experience will undoubtedly demand every club in your bag, keeping you on your toes until the very last putt.
Decorated with tight landings and difficult pin placements, this inspiring track has been offering excellent rounds to golfers of all skill level since 1999. Originally designed as a 9-hole course by Gene Thorne, Bass Lake saw the potential available through a reconfiguration of the course, and so expanded to the current par-72, 5,983-yard design well worth conquering.
With a slope rating of 69.4/124, the challenge with this golf course is ball placement. Offering no definite plan of attack, this short yet tricky design will keep golfers scratching their heads as they go up against a seemingly simple scorecard. Don’t let the yardage fool you, as Bass Lake is littered with dangerous water hazards, tough bunker complexes and tree-choked fairways.
Before your round, make sure to take advantage of the putting green and use the included small bucket of range balls at the recently renovated driving range, which now offers over 30 stalls to chose from and a bunker for short game shots. After your round make sure to stop in the Bass Lake Bar & Grill for a quick bite and ice cold beverage while enjoying the surrounding valley views from the patio.
If you are looking for a true contest to your skills, come out and test the waters — and hills and bunkers — at Bass Lake Golf Course, guaranteed to be a challenging round you won’t soon forget!
