Lake Forest Golf Club
We head into Wolverine territory with today’s feature: $18 for 18 Holes with Cart at Lake Forest Golf Club and Practice Center in Ann Arbor ($45 Value. Expires June 1, 2013.)
Located just three miles from the center of Ann Arbor, Lake Forest Golf Club and Practice Center is a par-72 18-hole championship public course that offers golfers two distinct nines spread out over 176 non-residential acres. Playing 6,660 yards from the Championship tees with a course/slope rating of 72.8/135, the course challenges the best of players while still accommodating all levels of play by employing three other sets of tees.
The front nine starts you off on a links-style design featuring rolling terrain, fescue grasses and wide fairways. As you make the turn to the back nine, you will feel as if you've been transported hundreds of miles north due to holes with tree-lined fairways, wetlands and wildlife. The staff works hard to keep the course in great condition and you'll see the product of their efforts on the greens, which have been credited as being some of the best in the area.
Lake Forest Golf Club and Practice Center also features a five-acre practice facility featuring a three-tier driving range with both grass and artificial hitting stations, two large practice greens and a chipping area with two sand bunkers. Lessons are available for all skill levels in individual or group settings.
Don’t forget to stop in at Ogie’s Bar and Grille before, after or in-between your rounds to enjoy refreshing beverages or an item off their full menu. A full-service bar is available, stocked with all your draft favorites.
So if you're looking for an all-around facility that comes with great value, Lake Forest Golf Club and Practice Center invites you to come by and check out all that it has to offer.
