Mountain Lake Golf Club
Here at GroupGolfer.com, we love to feature Michigan golf courses from all over the state that have that "up-north feel," but sometimes that's no substitute for the real thing. Head up north for real with today’s feature: $18 for 18 holes with a cart at Mountain Lake Golf Club in Gaylord ($48 Value).
Mountain Lake Golf Club is a favorite challenge for guests vacationing in northern Michigan. The combination of great course design (ranked "Third Best New Resort Course" by Golf Digest when it opened in 1988), excellent playing conditions and low rates has earned the course the title of the "hidden jewel" of Gaylord. This par-72, 18-hole course was designed by Jerry Matthews and lets golfers choose from four sets of tees that can be stretched to 6,418 yards with a course/slope rating of 70.6/130. The design offers six holes played through pine forest, another six on alpine terrain with stunning vistas, and the remaining six holes among the natural beauty of a river, ponds, and lakes. Mountain Lake Golf Club is a "must-play" for anyone visiting the Gaylord area and will leave such a strong impression that you'll surely want to return.
Mountain Lake Golf Club also offers a practice green to fine tune your putting and chipping before you head out to the course, a clubhouse where you can grab a quick bite to eat or drink before, after or in-between you rounds and a pro shop with a friendly and inviting staff that will go above and beyond to make sure your visit at Mountain Lake was a most enjoyable experience.
