Eagle Landing Golf Club
Welcome to the weekend, GroupGolfer Florida. Shake off those post-St. Patty's day cobwebs and clean up your clubs, because we’ve got a treat for you. This weekend’s featured course brings us to Northern Florida, the home of the Eagle Landing Golf Club at Oakleaf Plantation in Jacksonville.
Eagle Landing Golf Club is quite possibly in the best shape it has ever been. And that says a lot, considering this semi-private club has been a 4-star beauty queen since opening in 2006. Course architect Clyde Johnston pulled out all the stops, creating a beautiful, 7,037-yard modern classic carved from gorgeous Northern Florida landscape. No fewer than six sets of tees allow for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy their round, including the 2,789-yard junior tees, perfect for the little ones just learning this wonderful game.
Playing from the tips will test your distance and accuracy, so make sure you dial in your swing on the double-ended, 8,000 square-foot driving range before your round. The range is complete with target bunkers and even a lake to hone in your short game.
The key to scoring well at Eagle Landing Golf Club is getting off to a quick start. Progressively getting more difficult throughout the round, the classically styled holes and lightning-fast greens will eat your lunch if you become too complacent. Of course, being lunchless really isn’t a bad thing, considering the terrific menu waiting for you after your round at the clubhouse's restaurant.
Aside from the restaurant, the remaining portion of the 8,000 square-foot clubhouse contains a first-class sports bar, the perfect environment to tally up the card and collect your winnings.
