Salem Hills Golf Club
We’re crossing our fingers that the rain misses us this weekend so we can all get out and play. While we wait to find out, take advantage of today’s feature: $22 for 18 Holes with Cart and Range Balls at Salem Hills Golf Club in Northville ($53 Value. Expires August 1, 2011.)
This 18-hole course is centrally-located in Northville to give golfers the convenience of a quick getaway while maintaining its feel of seclusion from the city. W. Bruce Matthews designed the front side of the course with golfers who love to swing away without having tees in mind. The wide open fairways have few trees to get in the way of your swing, making it a perfect place to test out that new driver you bought yourself for Christmas. The back side, on the other hand, tightens up a bit with trees and water hazards making your decisions off the tee much more difficult.
Salem Hills Golf Club, a par-72, offers 6,992 yards from the longest of three sets of tees for a decent run from start to finish. Blue Grass fairways built atop the natural meadowland are well kept and the fast, rolling greens are meticulously-manicured for one of the best golfing experiences in Metro Detroit. Sand bunkers and water hazards sneak into play here and there to keep you on your toes, giving this beautiful course a 73 rating and 124 slope.
Salem Hills Golf Club also offers a 25-tee driving range for its visitors to tune up their skills after, what seemed like, the never-ending winter Michigan just experienced. Don’t forget to stop into the banquet hall at the clubhouse to check out the other amenities Salem Hills has to over. We know it’s supposed to rain all weekend — but look at the bright side, the grass will be that much greener just in time for you to hit Salem Hills Golf Club with today’s GroupGolfer feature.
