Beeches Golf Club
Head towards the shores of Lake Michigan to one of Michigan’s favorite southwest resort town for today’s feature: $25 for 18 Holes with Cart and a Bucket of Range Balls at Beeches Golf Club in South Haven ($55 Value. Expires May 25, 2012.)
Designed by noted architect and American Society of Golf Course Architects member W. Bruce Matthews III, Beeches Golf Club offers golfers the opportunity to play a challenging layout just minutes from Lake Michigan and downtown South Haven. Named after the many beech trees located on the course, including the massive one close to the clubhouse and eighteenth green, this par-72 championship course can play as short as 5,000 yards from the forward tees and can stretch as far as 7,200 yards from the tips; with five sets of tee boxes to choose from, you’re able to pick the perfect challenge.
When you make your way out on the course, you’ll find that the front nine winds its way around sandy waste areas. Think of them as "get-out-of-jail-free cards," because when you make the turn to the back nine, those waste bunkers turn mercilessly into unforgiving water hazards — and you won’t have the opportunity to play out of them, unless you come equipped with a scuba gear and goggles, of course.
Beeches Golf Club has a fine practice range and a putting green that are available for you to fine-tune your swing and stroke prior to taking the first tee. The clubhouse features a pro shop with all the necessities you might need before your round. You’ll also find a bar and grille that makes a perfect place for a quick bite to eat before or after your round. Beeches Golf Club promises a fantastic and fun round of golf for players of all skill levels, augmented by superior course conditioning and friendly guest services.
