Raintree Country Club
Have you ever played a full 18 without at least one partner? Not likely under normal circumstances — golf is a social game, so you're more likely to be on the phone dialing up one of your buddies and giving them your best Ferris Bueller pitch! Take today’s feature and run with it: $25 for 18 Holes with Cart and a Bucket of Range Balls at Raintree Country Club in Akron ($51 Value. Expires June 15, 2012.)
Just 10 minutes from Akron and 15 minutes from Canton, Raintree Country Club is in a prime location in beautiful Stark County. Raintree Country Club is a par-72 layout with 18 holes designed by Brian Huntley, a long-standing member of the ASGCA whose name is found on many great designs throughout Ohio and across the country. Just after his time in collaboration with Arthur Hills & Associates, he began work on Raintree Country Club, which opened in 1992 — the same year that saw Nick Faldo take home the British Open and Fred Couples win a Green Jacket.
This design boasts a mix of a links-style flow intermingled with traditional parkland-style elements. The 18 holes you’ll find here span over 6,936 yards of rolling Stark County terrain, having a course/slope rating of 73/127. Four distinct tee locations will help golfers of all abilities settle in and just enjoy a solid round of golf at one of Northern Ohio’s best values in golf.
Before your round, be sure to visit the fully stocked pro shop at Raintree for all of the latest and greatest in golf gear and apparel. Since water comes into play on 9 of Raintree’s 18 you may need to grab a sleeve of balls if you’re not on your A game. While you’re treating your game, head over to the practice greens that feature a chipping area with a practice bunker as well.
Whether you’re just satisfying that craving to play a round before the weather really hits or you’re stocking up for spring, come out and see this course for yourself and add it to your quiver of come-back-to courses that you’ll enjoy time and time again!
