Haggin Oaks Golf Complex

Follow in the footsteps of golf's giants at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex with today's feature: $31 for 18 Holes with Cart and a Small Bucket of Range Balls on the Alister MacKenzie Course at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento ($62 Value. Expires July 30, 2012.)

Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, "America's Most Awarded Golf Facility," is a prominent member of the Sacramento golf community. Since 1932, Haggin Oaks has given golfers a classically designed golf haven whose legends grows with every year. The ancient oaks that line the fairways here could tell tales of the game's heroes — Snead, Hagen, Demaret, et al — and all the magic that has transpired beneath their boughs.

The Alister MacKenzie Course at Haggin Oaks is a masterpiece from the famed architect of the same name. Standing as an oasis of peace and tranquility just outside the hustle and bustle of the city, the MacKenzie Course's plush bent grass greens and fairways are tucked neatly away from the concrete jungle. The par-72 course offers four sets of tees, measuring at most 6,991 yards with a course/slope rating of 122/72.5. Playing a bit easier are the front tees, which dip down to 5,452 yards of total length with a rating of 110/65.2. The greens are generally small and quick, and heavily bunkered; accurate shot-making and putting will be the deciding factor in how your scorecard shapes up.

The MacKenzie Course’s signature hole is the par-3 No. 16, which runs 192 yards along the left and wraps around behind the green, which is jealously guarded by a notorious old oak. The creek figures intermittently into the rest of the course as well, coming into play on five of the eighteen holes.

In addition to its two championship courses, Haggin Oaks Golf Complex also has a world-class teaching facility with over 15 golf professionals running 10 different learning programs, ensuring that everyone that visits can find a way to improve their game. Haggin Oaks is so committed to helping golfers improve that they even have a 100-stall driving range that is open 24 hours a day during the summer months. It's just that kind of consideration that earned the facility recognition in Range Magazine as one of America's Top 100 Driving Ranges — even before the addition of the self-teeing Power Tee system.

Last but not least on this list of amenities is the Haggin Oaks Super Shop, one of the largest pro shops in the US, measuring over 15,000 square feet. If you need gear, the Super Shop is the place to go for one-stop shopping on everything golf. Don’t forget to check out the 1929 Ford Model T that now doubles as a one-of-a-kind tribute to the Callaway Golf brand!
