Hilaman Golf Course, formerly known as Winewood Country Club, is one of the finest municipal courses the Panhandle. This shiny gem of Florida’s capitol is located just a couple of miles outside the heart of the city. Purchased by the city in 1981, Hilaman has grown and matured over the years. Along with age, came beauty — and responsibility. Hilaman provides golfers with a fresh perspective on the game, not just for its layout, but also for its dedication to maintaining a high standard of environmental awareness. Hilaman is certified into the Environmental Planning component of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, meaning your round is sure to be rewarded with spotting one of the numerous hawks and other native birds in the protected wetlands.

Hilaman is not only a sanctuary for wildlife, but for golfers as well. The magnificent par-72, 18-hole course challenges players while winding through 6,324 yards of beautifully wooded landscape. In 1999, the course was completely renovated from tee — of which there are four locations to choose from — to green and a new challenge awaits you on every hole. Wide-open fairways on some holes allow golfers to breathe easy and enjoy the scenery, while others' narrow approach shots will require your full attention.
