The front nine is a little more straight-forward — literally! — than the back nine, as Nos. 9, 10 and 11 serve as Plantation Golf Club's abrupt reminder of why shot placement from the tee is so important. Though the tree-lined fairways of the longer holes can make or break your round, you'll likely find the par-3s to be quite inviting. Though ponds and well-placed bunkers lie left, right and center of your targets, the greens are fair and large enough for an aggressive shot to earn back a shot or two. If you're feeling highly confident, Nos. 16 and 17 offer your best odds for birdie or better. These par-4s are drivable for longer hitters, but beware, the penalty for off-line shots can be steep.
