Nestled into a beautiful stretch of land conveniently located just off I-95 along the gorgeous Space Coast, Turtle Creek Golf Club showcases a very traditional, "Old Florida" layout. Designed by golf course architect Robert Renaud, Turtle Creek opened in 1971 and has been aging beautifully ever since — partially due to the large number of ancient, moss-covered trees that were integrated into the design rather than cleared to make way. These old trees stand watch over the course, testing your golfing ability as you wind your way through lake, ponds and wetlands in a pleasant, serene atmosphere.
The very playable conditions on this well-manicured course will definitely stand a cut above the norm, a fact you'll be grateful for when figuring out your next shot. As previously mentioned, these fairways are closely guarded, so choosing the right club is absolutely crucial. A tip from the General Manager: Do not lose your focus and bring all your clubs.
Make sure you get to Turtle Creek Golf Club early so you'll have time to warm up properly before your round, because you'll be starting on a monster 476-yard par-5. Things do not get any easier either, with the back-to-back dynamic duo No. 4 and No. 5, which are known as the "wicked sisters." Both of these make-or-break holes track around lakes to well-protected greens and serve as shining examples of how this classic Florida course challenge your shot-making ability.
Turtle Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole challenge that plays to a par of 72. Choose from four sets of tees to adjust the difficulty your round. From the back tees, Turtle Creek plays 6,526 yards with a course rating of 70.6 and a slope rating of 130, while the front tees play down to about 4,700 yards.
So swing in to Turtle Creek Golf Club and spend some time with a classic Old Florida tradition.
