Tyler Creek Golf Course is located just 30 minutes outside of Grand Rapids, making it an easily accessible venue for many golfers residing in the west side of the state. The course was constructed in 1973 based on a design from course architect Mark Devries. Recently renovations, including three newly constructed golf holes, complement an already-excellent facility complete with driving range and pro shop. In fact, one of the redesigned holes has become a fan-favorite for combining a tee box surrounded by cornfields with a fairway piped through tall trees.
The well-maintained Tyler Creek plays to a par of 70 while maxing out at 6,276 yards from its longest tees. It's moderately challenging course/slope rating of 72.2/118 makes this an excellent course for any level of golfer to do battle with. The course is known for its surrounding scenery and wide-open play, so be sure to keep an eye out for the beautiful walnut trees and a lack of front-nine bunkers as you take a break to clean your ball or grab a sip of water!
Along with their extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, there also are on-site camping grounds as well as fishing spots nearby. There's even a small petting zoo! Simply put, it’s not just the perfect place for the golfer or outdoor enthusiast, but also a fitting trip for the whole family.
