Tamaron Country Club
An enjoyable round of golf for less than a buck a hole with today’s feature: $14 for 18 Holes with Cart at Tamaron Country Club in Toledo ($29 Value. Good Any Day, Any Time until April 1, 2014.)
Laying literally right on the border between Michigan and Ohio, Tamaron Country Club is conveniently located just a couple miles from I-75, so getting to the course is a breeze for golfers nearby in either state. Along with its easy-to-reach location, Tamaron is also easy on the eyes, with scenery dominated by tall trees and lush, green grass along its entire 18-hole route, as is customary with most Midwestern golf courses.
Playing just over 6,000 yards at a par of 70, Tamaron Country Club is known for maintaining its grounds in top-notch condition. The open, accommodating fairways allow golfers ample room to tee off, making it easy to get off the tee. However, the simplicity found on any of the three tee boxes is balanced by well-placed obstacles and smaller green, resulting in a moderately challenging 67.7/109 course/slope rating.
While originally designed as Sunningdale Golf Club in 1926, Tamaron Country Club is celebrating its 41st year of providing excellent golf experiences in 2013. With age comes beauty, as demonstrated the natural rolling hills and matured surroundings. With its classic design from the Golden Age, the course requires a combination of power and precision — as well as a couple keen putts, particularly on the cleverly deceptive No. 9 green — in order to post a solid score.
Along with its laid-back atmosphere and relaxing round of golf, be sure to check out Tamaron’s state-of-the-art simulator. Now offering 50 courses, it may well be the perfect way to keep on playing even when the last bit of light has faded from the evening sky!
