A course architect of more than 115 courses, Kidwell was a former president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, and his name is placed right alongside a generation of golf's most celebrated architects: Fazio, Dye, Jones, Palmer, Nicklaus.

Kidwell designed this course to challenge golfers of all abilities with each member of Shamrock Golf Club's 18-hole layout. Shamrock Golf Club is a par-71 layout measuring up to 6,220 yards from the tips with a course/slope rating of 68/113.
