Prairie Isle Golf Club
Challenge yourself to take one of Illinois' best with today’s feature: $20 for 18 Holes with Cart at Prairie Isle Golf Club in Prairie Grove near Crystal Lake ($68 Value. Expires July 1, 2014.)
Tucked into the northeast corner of Illinois is one of the Prairie State’s best loved and most unique golf courses. Beautifully laid out over 135 acres of incredibly picturesque countryside, Prairie Isle Golf Club’s unbeatable Gordon Cunningham-designed course will challenge every part of your game.
Playing over 6,600 yards from the back tees, Prairie Isle provides everything you’ve come to love about parkland-style golf and more. The meandering layout works its way through plenty of natural foliage, sand bunkers and water hazards that come into play on more than half of the holes. From the first tee on, you’ll find every fairway and green in impeccable shape – providing ideal golfing conditions for every shot. Carrying a USGA rating of 71.8 and a slope of 131, Prairie Isle offers a rewarding playing experience to every golfer – regardless of skill level.
With many outstanding holes throughout the course, the par-4 Nos. 12 and 13 holes really stand out as Prairie Isle’s signatures. No. 12, playing over 370 yards from the back tees, requires golfers to hit a straight drive onto a tight fairway that slopes severely right to left. One of the most scenic holes on the course, it also plays as one of the most difficult. Like No. 12, No. 13 requires a drive in the fairway — this time from an elevated tee box. The fairway leads to a large, steep downhill green that will challenge you to make par.
After your round, relax and toast your scores at the clubhouse bar and grill. Domestic and imported beers are always available, along with your favorite cocktails and spirits. Appetizers, sandwiches and pizza are on the menu, and the seasonal outdoor patio offers beautiful views of this incredible course.
With a stunning layout and a welcoming atmosphere, Prairie Isle Golf Club makes its case for the perfect golfing destination in Northeast Illinois.
