Dryden Golf Course is a fine municipal venue with a long history of offering a crowd-pleasing layout for all to enjoy. Winding along the banks of the Tuolumne River, Dryden's 18-hole, par-72 layout is very traditional in its design, and is the perfect place for everyone, from beginners to experts.
With wide fairways lined in mature pines and oaks, and gentle doglegs, getting off the tee couldn't be more of a pleasure — there's plenty of opportunity to get into scoring position on every hole. This is a boon for those with accurate iron play, because approaches require a bit more effort for an optimal result. Though the medium-sized greens give you a fair shot, each one is typically guarded by a couple small bunkers.
In total, Dryden measures up to a respectable 6,531 yards from the tips, with a corresponding course/slope rating of 70.9/122. From the forward tees, players will enjoy only a small break of about 600 yards, earning this teeing location a more difficult 73.4/121 rating.
Dryden Golf Course's Learning Center has three practice putting greens and a driving range, all lighted for night use. If you're in need of equipment or apparel upgrades, visit the full-service pro shop. And if you're hungry or parched, seek relief at the on-site restaurant.
