Located just 20 minutes west of O’Hare Internation Airport in Hoffman Estates, Hilldale Golf Course has a long history full of Chicago golf legacy. Built in 1970 on land that was once a sportsman’s club and owned by the famous retailer Marshall Field, this is the only 18-hole course in Northern Illinois designed by world-famous golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr.

Jones designed golf courses in 45 states and 35 countries around the globe, and is known for shaping the given plot of land into a beautiful test of golf courses. He took pride in designing difficult holes and entire courses that frequently bring huge bunkers and water hazards into play — Hilldale Golf Club is no exception.

The course offers 6,432 yards of golf from the longest tees with a par of 71. Hilldale holds a course/slope rating of 71.3/130 on bent grass. Water comes into play on 13 holes and precise shot-making and proper club selection is required here. Skilled golfers who take the time to position shots for better angles to the green get plenty of risk and reward opportunities.
