Located in Clermont, Kings Ridge Golf Club is known as one of the best in the area based on playability, green maintenance, variety and affordability. At Kings Ridge, players can enjoy two courses with very different designs: The par-71, championship Kings Course and the par-57 executive-length Ridge Course.
The Kings Course is composed of 18 regulation-length holes and challenges golfers to use every club in their bag to make par. From the elevated tees, players have beautiful views of the entire golf club and gain clearance to swing away towards greens far down its expertly manicured fairways.
Once there, even the most seasoned golfer’s putting game is challenged by the fast, rolling greens. Mature trees and undulating fairways are your biggest enemy when trying to reach the cup here. However, with accessibility in mind, the Kings Course was designed by architect Lloyd Clifton to be accommodating to its guests — each hole features five sets of tees to choose from, maxing out at 6,269 yards from the tips.
The Ridge Course is Kings Ridge’s added bonus. A short course — just 3,660 yards from the longest of four tees — this par-57 is a little tricky and less conventional than its full-length counterpart. Also 18 holes, a significant number of water hazards, multi-tiered greens, pot bunkers and grassy hollows come into play, making the precision of your drive from the tees imperative. Don’t brush off the Ridge Course just because of its size or else you might find it demanding your respect the hard way!
