My, my, how the time flies! This beautiful course opened its doors to the public back in 1991, and has been a staple of the golf scene in northwest of Detroit for more than 20 amazing years. If you've never experienced the course, now is your chance — you're going to love the changes brought up by new ownership. Just about everything has been upgraded, from the course to the carts to the clubhouse and everything else in between.

Designed by the inimitable Jerry Matthews — the award-winning Michigan-based golf course architect with over 40 years of experience — The Links of Novi sports three spectacular nine-hole designs in its East, West and South courses.

Whichever combination you choose, the total distance will be somewhat similar: South/East results in a par-69 at 6,014 yards from the tips with a course/slope rating of 67.9/118, while South/West will give you a beautiful par-70 measuring out to 6,093 yards with a 68.3/119 rating. West/East combination provides the toughest challenge with a rating of 71.2/128 and measures 6,497 yards from its longest tees at par of 71. These distances are variable, as The Links of Novi features three distinct sets of tees, which cater to the scratch golfer and weekend warrior alike.

While each nine features holes beautifully framed by dense Southeastern Michigan hardwoods that prove to be a challenge, a majority of the holes play in a traditional Scottish links-style design, as the name clearly indicates. This Matthews design is true to form, as its beautiful mounded, undulating Kentucky Bluegrass fairways allow links golf aficionados the opportunity to pretend they're across the pond playing the real thing. Adding to its mystique, the greens are large and accommodating, with moderate bunkering.

Be sure to dust off your clubs at the range before your round — you’ll need those premium tee shots for the wooded holes. While you’re improving your game, consider improving your quiver of gear by swinging into the pro shop for all the top brands in equipment, apparel and accessories. Lastly, be sure to kick up your feet and tally up the day's scores at The Links of Novi restaurant, serving some great food and cold drinks to boot.
