Located in the heart of northeastern Illinois, Boone Creek Golf Club offers 27 of the Prairie State’s finest holes of golf. Featuring three distinct nine-hole courses, a round a Boone Creek is like any other. A sprawling course that covers over 190 acres of natural wetlands, Boone Creek is home to a variety of natural flora and fauna that add to the picturesque esthetic of this incredible design. Each course provides golfers with immaculately conditioned fairways, challenging hole layouts and large, smooth-rolling greens that play as some of the best in the area.
The Valley Course, the shortest of the three nines, plays just over 2,900 yards from the back tees. This nine challenges you right from the beginning, with the par-5 No. 1 that plays more than 520 yards from the tee box. The second nine, Creekside, plays just over 100 yards further than the Valley course, but the difficulty ramps up with the par-3 No. 6 that plays over 200 yards. The last nine, known as the Prairie course, plays the longest at Boone Creek measuring 3,175 yards. Prairie's two par-5s play under 500 yards, giving players their best chance to possibly pick up a couple of birdies on the day.
Each unique pair of nines offer a great 18-hole playing experience. Players that start on the Prairie course and make the turn onto Creekside play a course that carries a USGA rating of 69.6 and a slope of 119. A round that takes you from Valley to Prairie, is rated a little lower at 69.4, but measures a more difficult slope of 121. The final pairing, Creekside to Valley, provides yet another interesting mix of a 121 slope and a USGA course rating of 68.8.
No matter which 18 holes you play, Boone Creek is dedicated to providing you with a one-of-a-kind golfing experience. Included in that experience are the great amenities available right at the golf club. Golfers can enjoy a complete practice facility that features a grass tee driving range, putting green and short game area.
