Grab your clubs and head for this high-quality, short-form course with today’s feature: $13 for 9 Holes with Cart at Fountain Hills Golf Club in Alsip near Oak Lawn ($27 Value. Expires August 1, 2015.)
Owned and operated by the Alsip Park District, Fountain Hills Golf Club has spent many years showcasing a nine-hole golf experience that may leave some 18-hole courses feeling a bit jealous. Set upon 66 beautiful acres of woodland, Fountain Hills presents a fun challenge to every single player from the first tee to the final green.
Playing just over 3,200 yards and rated 35.3/125, this par-36 course shows off the numerous elevation changes and strategically placed lakes present throughout this gorgeous layout. No. 9, the signature par-4 at Fountain Hills, doesn’t play particularly long at just 340 yards, but requires expert course management and shotmaking ability to come away with par. Land your drive in the fairway and hit this sloping green correctly, and you’ll have finished your round strong.
Before your round, a visit to the full-service practice area is a must. With 30 natural-grass tees, target greens and a short game area, this is the ideal place to warm up or to perfect your swing mechanics. The driving range is lighted, too, making late-night practice a convenient possibility.
Along with the beautiful golf course, the clubhouse at Fountain Hills is really something to behold. One of the most popular banquet destinations in the Chicago area, the clubhouse is home to three distinct dining rooms, including a casual-dining restaurant, that are the perfect venues for your next golf outing or private party.
An incredible course with outstanding amenities, the only thing missing at Fountain Hills Golf Club is you.
