Farmville Golf and Country Club, so named after the quaint town it occupies, is a traditional golf course cut from 125 acres of densely forested land. Founded in 1935 and designed with inspiration from Donald Ross and the like, Farmville features a classic layout from the late "Golden Era" of golf design. Narrow fairways dog-leg gracefully around centuries-old oak and cypress trees. Rolling hills and shallow swales challenge tee shots and approach shots must skirt artfully placed bunkers, landing softy on small, undulated greens.
As one of eastern North Carolina's finest golf courses, Farmville Golf and Country Club is a strikingly beautiful challenge. The championship tees measure just over 6,200 yards with a par of 71 and a course/slope rating of 69.5/126. Two other tee locations, with as little as 4,759 yards, also are provided to accommodate all types of players.
The course is conveniently located just off Highway 258 and nearby Highway 264, so getting there is simple. And once you know your way, the combination of elegant design and relaxing atmosphere will have you coming back to Farmville Golf and Country Club again and again.
