Playing just over 6,900 yards from the back set of tees, the course is best played with a cautious approach that focuses on executing shots and maintaining a steady putting stroke. Water is one of the course’s most frequent obstacles, coming into play on just about half the holes on the front and back. The bent grass greens, along with being some of the best putting surfaces in Delaware County, are well protected by numerous white sand bunkers, making precise distance control of the utmost importance. Rated 72.8 and measuring a slope of 122, this Gene Bates design is a true treat to play, and one you’ll want to experience time and time again.

Along with the excellent golf course, The Players Club at Woodland Trails also features Muncie’s finest practice facility and selection of amenities. For practice, the double-sided, natural-grass driving range located between Nos. 9 and 10 has ample room for long hitters, and is paired with two greens — one of which sports two practice bunkers. Before your round, give yourself the chance to air out your driver, shape your irons, and practice your putts all in one spot.
