Sycamore Golf Club is an historic course located near the heart of Sycamore, Ill. Built in 1923 along the Kishwaukee River, the course captures the spirit of golf design during the "Golden Era" of its construction. Tree-lined bent grass fairways are narrow, making up for its relatively short length when compared to more modern courses. In a slight departure from classical architecture, approach shots are made to surprisingly large greens, also surfaced in bent grass.
At 5,993 yards, Sycamore Golf Club offers a fair test of golf for the experienced player and yet provides even the beginner an opportunity to score well. The longest tees come to a par of 71, with a course/slope rating of 68/114.
In addition to the well-maintained course, Sycamore Golf Club also offers a pro shop featuring the best gear from all the top brands. For the hungry among us, visit The Caddyshack Grill, featuring a variety of snacks during your round as well as a full menu and cold beverages afterward — the perfect place to count up the day's totals!
