Gordon, ASGCA, and an exceptional setting created by Mother Nature, Locust Valley’s spectacular course is one no Commonwealth golfer can afford to miss. Playing just over 6,700 yards from the back set of tees (of which there are five), Locust Valley used to be a private country club, and one step out onto the first tee will show you why.

From the first tee box on, the course is exceptionally well-conditioned, like something you’d find in a golf magazine, and is constantly highlighted by picturesque views at nearly every turn. Various forms of challenge are plentiful throughout, and include large wooded areas of mature trees, bunkers both throughout the fairways and surrounding the greens, and the natural (sometimes severe) undulation of the gorgeous countryside. Water too is in play here, and though it’s only present on three holes, first-timers beware: the two holes most significantly impacted are 9 and 18. Many great rounds have been lost by players who let their fear of getting wet drown their round, so do your best to stay away from the drink and safely in the fairway. Manage your shots properly, and you’ll find yourself in great position to shoot a low score on the day.

Along with the awesome and testy golf course, Locust Valley has all of the amenities you want right on site. The Pro Shop is extensively stocked with apparel and accessories from some of the biggest brands in the game, and the bar, snack shop, and beverage cart carry all of your favorite eats and drinks to keep your day of fun going strong.
