Stay in the fairways, hold the greens, and you’ll have a chance to shoot one of your low rounds on the season.
The saying “the devil’s in the details” applies perfectly to Cherry Wood’s enjoyable and testy golf course. Designer and architect John S. Chernega took special care to make this layout one that would offer a unique challenge to every golfer regardless of skill or ability level. Cherry Wood’s isn't a pushover, though, fairways and greens are well protected by bunkers and others areas of natural hazard with water coming into play on almost half of the holes on the front and back. The course also features plenty of elevation that provides picturesque views of Indiana, Armstrong, and Westmoreland counties.
Along with the secluded and invigorating golf course, Cherry Wood also offers an extensive set of amenities that are sure to help round out your day of fun. For golfers, the grass-tee driving range is the perfect place to work on warming up your swing in course-like conditions. The practice short game area and putting green are always in course-quality shape, and offer the perfect platform to help you establish the speed of the course. Cherry Wood also has the unique distinction of being an Audubon Sanctuary – a protected environmental area that provides various local species of wildlife with an undisturbed habitat in which to thrive.
