Broken up into two superb nine-hole layouts, both the front and back of Valley View will test your game in a variety of ways. The front, which plays about 100 yards longer than the back, starts off with two relatively short holes before presenting you with the course’s longest challenge: the 525-yard par-5 3rd hole. Defeat this monster by ripping your tee shot into the fairway and hitting one of your woods flush to give you a chance to reach the green in regulation. The back nine will test your ability to keep your ball away from the water, with two forced carries on the 15th and 17th holes. Manage your shots properly and stay away from the mature trees that line each fairway, and you may just walk away from the 18th green with one of your best scores of the year.
