Though many people tend to (mistakenly) associate nine-hole courses with a reduced quality of play, Nine Springs Golf Course’s exceptional layout is putting that old wives tale to rest. Playing 1,634 yards from the back set of tees, the unique par-30 course takes you through a variety of challenges including forced carries over water, well protected greens, and plenty of heavily wooded areas that make accurate shot placement a must throughout your round.

Nine Springs’ testy layout starts you off with the most difficult hole on the course: the 175-yard par-3 1st. With a creek to your right and OB to your left, the first hole often serves as the make-or-break challenge for players who are looking to get off to a good start. As you continue through your round, don’t let your guard down, as the par-4 4th hole is another course-management challenge. This hole forces a lengthy tee shot over water, and for the big hitters, over a secondary creek 225+ yards out.

Continuing on, the 7th hole again requires accuracy off the tee, with OB on the left, pond on the right, and a creek right in front of the tee box that shouldn’t be in play, but might just get into your head. If you’d made it through the first eight holes unscathed, Nine Springs’ invigorating layout rewards you with a gorgeous playable par-3, that offers little more in terms of challenge than 150-yard straight shot to the green.

Though the golf course is truly one of the area’s best, Nine Springs is also home to a great set of amenities that you shouldn’t pass up. Golfers can enjoy practicing on the driving range, chipping area, and putting green, and can even take lessons from PGA-certified instructors right on the grounds.
