Lake Carroll Golf Course is a part of the eponymous private residential recreational community in western Illinois. Whether you're looking for a serene retreat from the hustle-and-bustle of the city life, or a place to go for a weekend round, Lake Carroll is your go-to option for quality and a welcoming atmosphere.
The course was founded in 1973. Since then, the trees that line many of these fairways have matured, with dense foliage providing a secluded sensation. Here, you'll find 18 of the most scenic holes in Illinois, spread over gently rolling hills and scenic valleys. Lake Carroll also is well-maintained and grants players a respectable challenge without pushing the envelope, perfect for the average player.
The front nine is nearly 200 yards longer than the back nine, mostly due to its two par-5s reaching over 500 yards a piece. The par-3 No. 8 also bumps up the distance at 209 yards. The back nine measures up a bit shorter at 3,118 yards.
In addition to the course, Lake Carroll Golf Course features a clubhouse lounge where players can grab a bite to eat or their favorite cold beverage. There's also a full-service pro shop, teaching professionals available for lessons and a driving range and practice greens to improve on.
Descriptions of each of Lake Carroll Golf Course's three accommodating tee locations are as follows:
