Lincoln Oaks Golf Course
Now is the time to get swinging on a "Golden Age" gem with today's feature: $19 for 18 Holes with Cart at Lincoln Oaks Golf Course in Crete ($50 Value. Good Any Time until August 15, 2017!)
Located just south of Chicago, Lincoln Oaks Golf Course has a wonderfully unique history in the south suburban area. And during the celebration of the eighth anniversary with its current owners, Lincoln Oaks extends an invitation to experience country-club conditions in a public atmosphere.
Constructed in 1927, Lincoln Oaks was originally one of four courses at Lincolnshire Country Club. The layout was designed by highly respected golf course architect Tom Bendelow, who also designed the original South Course at Olympia Fields Country Club as well as Naperville Country Club and each of the three courses of Medinah Country Club.
The 6,200-yard golf course has a par of 71, and focuses on playability for all skill levels. Several renovations, which include installing continuous cart paths, as well as reshaping tees and fairways, have all contributed to a more enjoyable round for every guest. The mature tree-lined bent grass fairways and small greens are intended to give one a feel for how the game was traditionally played, testing the skills of even the best golfer while keeping it fun for the rest of us.
Also available are a grass driving range and chipping/putting green to warm up your swing. Even better, tally up your scores at the remodeled Oaks Bar and Grill. In addition to an impressive array of outstanding food and beverage choices, the Oaks Bar and Grill also boasts five flat-screen televisions for your enjoyment.
