Though it’s definitely playable for beginner or novice golfers, the name of the game at Wicked Woods is: accuracy, accuracy, accuracy. The course may not be exceptionally long, or even especially undulated compared to many Parkland-style challenges, but the layout does present many make-or-break challenges – forcing you to execute shots under pressure if you want to shoot a low score on the day.

Did we mention that accuracy is important? Take one look at the scorecard and you’ll realize there is barely a straight hole on the course. Most fours and fives are lengthy doglegs that will not only test your accuracy off of the tee, but also your ability to approach greens with confidence. Water is a major hazard here, coming into play on about half of the course’s holes, as well as the wooded countryside that makes accuracy even that much more important. But don’t worry: The course is perpetually in exceptional condition, meaning well-struck shots are usually rewarded with true flight and a generous roll out.
