Westover Golf Club
Located in Jeffersonville, about 30 minutes northwest of downtown Philadelphia, Westover Golf Club is one of the finest golf clubs in the Delaware Valley. Originally designed as a private course, Westover Golf Club maintains that same sense of exclusiveness for all guests with its gorgeous layout, excellent course conditions, and a beautiful clubhouse.
The championship 18-hole layout was designed in 1967 by George Fazio, a professional golfer, course designer, and the eventual inspiration for his nephew, Tom Fazio. True to the era of its founding, tee boxes are cut to sharp squares, matching a layout that presents a more "classic" appeal. Throughout the round, you'll encounter long, graceful doglegs lined with trees. The greens themselves would likely be considered larger than average, however, the approach is often from a side-hill lie or guarded by bunkers, requiring some thoughtful consideration. With that in mind, Westover has four sets of tees to choose from, ranging from 4,721 yards to 6,206 yards, to ensure that golfers of all skill levels find a comfortable challenge.
In addition to its wonderful Fazio design, Westover features a host of amenities to make your experience more enjoyable. Head out to the driving range before or after your round to loosen up or to work out a few kinks. If you are in need of a more experienced eye, Westover teaching professionals are on hand and happy to schedule a session. And when your day has ended, don't hesitate to pull up a chair at the restaurant and enjoy your pick from the full menu of options accompanied by your favorite beverage.
