Lakeland Golf Course
Find your way to this secluded spot and enjoy a fresh, green golf course with today's feature: $14 for 18 Holes with Cart at Lakeland Golf Course in Fostoria near Findlay ($28 Value. Good Any Time until July 1, 2018!)
Standing out like an emerald from the surrounding farmland, the lush Lakeland Golf Course has been a green retreat for golfers since its founding in 1962.
With a dense forest on the western border, trees on every hole and the Fostoria Resevoir to the north, Lakeland is a relaxing place to play. The straightforward layout features narrow Bluegrass fairways and gentle doglegs to contend with off the tee, so most shots are safe.
However, throw in a couple forced carries — including one longer than a football field — and you have yourself a unique challenge not typically found amongst the farmland of Northern Ohio. There is also a distinct lack of bunkers, which is countered by small, sloped greens and risk/reward tee shots that flirt with out-of-bounds.
The course at Lakeland measures 5,510 yards with a par of 70 from the back tees, while the forward tees play to a par of 72 but with a shorter length of 4,741 yards. The course/slope ratings are 66.1/103 and 73.3/114, respectively.
