Designed by the creative team of Ray Hearn and Paul Albanese, the course here truly takes its inspiration from the surrounding landscape – utilizing the rolling hills, rock creeks, waterfalls, and natural undulation to create an incredibly relaxed and scenic atmosphere unreplicatable at any other New York course. The layout brings together the best aspects of links-style and parkland-style golf, challenging players to keep their ball playable despite numerous areas of hazard and more than 6,900 yards of length from the back set of tees. The greens here are truly immaculate and will test even the best putter’s mettle with their sometimes-drastic breaks and always impressive conditions. Measuring 72.9/132 from the back set of tees, not enough can be said for such a spectacular course – it must truly be seen to be believed.
