Van Buskirk Golf Course
Play a Stockton staple with today’s feature: $15 for 18 Holes with Cart and Range Balls at Van Buskirk Golf Course in Stockton ($44 Value. Expires June 1, 2018!)
Spread out on 214 acres of prime Northern California countryside, today’s feature course, Van Buskirk Golf Course in Stockton, is a real treat to play. Designed by Larry Norstrom and always kept in exceptional condition, this 6,900-yard layout perfectly mixes playability and challenge to create a playing experience unlike any other you’ll find.
What you’ll quickly notice as you make your way through this impressive 18-hole layout is that water, like on many of California’s best courses, is nearly always in play. Greens on the the par-4 2nd hole and par-3 17th are surrounded by it, and many fairways are tightly bordered by it, punishing errant shots that drift a little too far left or right. The H2O looms the largest, however, on the course’s signature challenge: the par-5 7th hole. Playing a whopping 606 yards from the back set of tees (making it the longest hole on the course by 20+ yards), water is nearly ever-present on the right side of the fairway, and continues up to border the green. Like all holes on Van Buskirk, players who want to walk away from the 7th with par or better must plan their shots well before swinging and execute them properly. Do this, and this water-heavy layout may be more tamable than you originally thought.
Though the course is certainly the standout highlight, Van Buskirk also offers several amenities for you to enjoy. Before your round, be sure to spend some time working out your swing’s kinks at the full-service grass driving range – open daily! After your round, the Van Buskirk Cafe offers a full menu of your favorite snacks, sandwiches, salads, and drinks – perfect for toasting scores!
One of the best rounds you’ll find anywhere in the area, a trip to Van Buskirk is exactly what your golf game needs. Don’t wait and let this one expire – reserve your round now!
