The diverse countryside of Allegheny County offers an outstanding platform for golf, and the two beautiful 18 hole courses at Butler's, Woodside and Lakeside, truly put it on display. Woodside, the facility's original layout that opened in the late 20s, has been a favorite of local golfers for over 80 years - and it's obvious why. The 6,300-yard gently rolling layout is routed through woods and overlooks the Youghiogheny River, creating breathtaking views and several exceptionally challenging holes. The real highlight comes as your finish your round on the back nine, a grouping of holes Golf Digest Magazine has labeled "amongst the best three finishing holes anywhere in Pennsylvania."

Although it plays hundreds of yards longer than its sister course Woodside, Lakeside has become a favorite of locals and visitors alike for its exceptional conditions and playable layout. The rolling fairways have very generous landing areas, and despite the fertile landscape, the course features very few blind shots or side-hill lies. The elevation changes and lack of parallel fairways present golfers with some of the state's most spectacular views, promoting an unforgettable round regardless of the score on your score card.

Though most of the fun at Butler's is definitely had out on the golf course, the clubhouse and other amenities are certainly must-visits, too.
