The 1896 U.S. Open was one to remember, with Scottish-born James Foulis Jr. beating out the pack to come out on top. Though born at the home of golf in St. Andrews, his mark would be left on American golf forever - and nowhere more prevalent than at today's feature course: Nippersink Golf & Resort in Genoa City.

Some of St. Andrews' magic must have rubbed off on the young Mr. Foulis, because the work he put into designing the spectacular 18-holes at Nippersink truly paid off. The resulting course is one of the Midwest's most interesting, diverse, and classic challenges, perfectly mixing old-world charm and modern elegance to create a comfortable and testy round unlike any other.

Designed for both the enjoyment of the average golfer and the skills of the scratch player, the rolling layout presents a variety of challenges that stand firmly between you and a low score on the day. Built practically on the banks of the Benedict and Tombeau Lakes, these fertile grounds have helped this almost 100-year-old course blossom into maturity, with stunning tall trees, water, and various forms of vegetation all in play throughout.
