Middletown Country Club
Enjoy one of the best with today’s feature: $25 for 18 Holes with Cart at Middletown Country Club in Langhorn near Philadelphia ($56 Value. Expires July 1, 2018!)
There’s a reason that today's feature course, Middletown Country Club, has been billed as a Langhorne tradition for over 100 years – because it has spent the last 103 years providing golfers in Bucks County and beyond with an absolutely fabulous place to test their skills. Now it’s your chance to strap on your spikes, grab your clubs, and experience Commonwealth golf the way that it’s meant to be played.
Opened in 1913 as an Alexander Findlay-designed nine-hole course–with the next nine opening just a few years later–Middletown Country Club’s exceptional layout has spent the better part of the last century becoming a fixture of the Pennsylvania golfing scene. Though not overly long or “tricked-out” by modern-day standards, the layout is timeless – providing a challenging round to even the most skilled player. Thanks to the rolling landscape of the Pennsylvania countryside, players will often find themselves with less-than-ideal uphill, downhill, or even sidehill lies – making no shot a guaranteed success. Though water isn’t in play on the course, you will find plenty of towering mature trees, tight landing areas, and small, rounded greens that put a premium on accuracy on just about every shot. You may not need to pull out your big stick often, as the course only plays 6,200 yards from the back set of tees, but you’ll want every other club ready to go if you want to end with a low score on the day.
The historic course isn’t the only reason to visit Middletown; the facility features a variety of great amenities you’ll definitely want to check out. From the clubhouse pro shop that carries everything you need to keep your game in tip-top shape, to the awesome pub fare at Hacker’s Pub and Grill, Middletown features everything you need to start, and end, your day in style.
Though it’s undergone some renovation over the years, more than half of the course plays exactly as it did in in the early 1900s, giving you the opportunity to step back in time and enjoy a timeless round the way the designer intended it. That’s not something you can afford to miss – take advantage of today’s feature now!
