Pheasant Run Golf Club
Enjoy one of Michigan’s finest public golf clubs with today’s feature: $29 for 18 Holes with Cart and Range Balls at Pheasant Run Golf Club in Canton ($64 Value)
Pheasant Run Golf Club features a highly approachable design from Arthur Hills that provides an enjoyable yet challenging round for all. Opened in 1995, Pheasant Run has matured and evolved into a pristine 27-hole layout spread out over 300 beautiful acres of natural wetlands, woodland areas and native grasses.
Playing 7,125 yards from the tips with a course/slope rating of 75.8/141, Pheasant Run ranks as one of the most difficult golf courses in the state and presents a particularly tough challenge for those looking for it. Don’t let those numbers intimidate you, though — the design was made to include three other sets of tee boxes ranging from the 69.2/123 green tees to the 71.9/131 black tees, so you're sure to find something that fits your eye. In order to ensure an enjoyable round for all, Pheasant Run's design includes large landing areas off the tee; however, the greens are well-protected with water hazards and marshes, just to keep you on your toes! Once safely on the greens at Pheasant Run, though, you'll find them to be large and very receptive and perhaps just a bit faster than average.
To make sure your round starts off right, head over the Pheasant Run Practice Facility. Featuring a bent grass teeing area 120 yards long and 75 yards wide — yes, that is larger than a football field — you'll be able let the big stick loose without fear of leaving the grid. Take aim at the five target greens that provide that "on-course" feel and use the yardage markers to help you zone in on your distances. Once you're loose and limber with the longer clubs, make sure to sharpen up your short game on the 20,000 square-foot chipping and putting green.
After your round, be sure to sit back and enjoy a nice meal served up at the Fore Star Grill at Pheasant Run. This full-service bar and grill offers both indoor and outdoor dining, and both are perfect places to tally up the scores and reflect on the round that could have been!
