If you want to try out one of the finest golfing experiences north of Columbus, then today’s feature course, Oakhaven Golf Club, is right up your alley. Constructed on a superb piece of Buckeye State countryside, this par-72 7,100-yard challenge is perfectly designed to test the skills and further the enjoyment of each and every golfer who comes out to play.

What you’ll find as you make your way through Oakhaven’s enjoyable and often testy course are two different nines that bring forward two completely different sets of challenges. The front nine, playing just over 3,600 yards from the tips, is the longer of the two nines but also the most forgiving. The fairly open layout may entice you to bring out your big stick on more holes than you should, but if you do, be sure to focus on staying in the fairways. The most success on the front comes from those who can creatively plan the right shot and accurately execute it.

Speaking of accuracy, the back nine requires a whole lot of it if you want to close your round with a low score on the day. Shorter than the front, playing just over 3,400 yards from the back, the back nine is rife with tight quarters, pockets of tall mature trees, and various changes in elevation throughout. This challenge all culminates on the par-4 12th hole – the second hardest hole on the course. Come through 12 unscathed, and you should have fairly smooth sailing the rest of the way.

You’ll certainly need to put in a good amount of practice if you want to find success at Oakhaven, and luckily for you, management has created the perfect practice area right on site. To work on your game, you’ll have access to a 50-acre lighted driving range with 33 heated covered tees and 60 grass tees, two practice chipping greens with a sand bunker, a 5000-square-foot putting green, and a new indoor putting facility. These awesome amenities help ensure that you can keep your game in shape no matter the weather or time of year.
