Play the Grand Strand’s best with today’s feature: $29 for 18 Holes with Cart and Range Balls at Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club in Sunset Beach near Myrtle Beach ($75 Value. Good Any Time until February 15, 2020!)
Named both Golf Course of the Year and Best of Sunset Beach over the past decade, today’s feature course, Sandpiper Bay Golf and Country Club, is just about as exquisite as Carolina golf can get. Beautifully built into the coastal landscape just outside of Northern Myrtle Beach, Sandpiper Bay’s gorgeous manicured grounds are sure to play host to your next exceptional round of golf.
Split into three distinct nine-hole challenges all designed to test your game, Sandpiper Bay’s 27 holes are some of the best you’ll ever play. The Sand Course, one of Sandpiper Bay’s two original nines, features picturesque elevated tees and fairways cut through a thick natural pine forest. With an unusual combination of three par-3s, four par-4s, and two par-5s, Sand might be your best chance on the day to shoot a low score. The second nine, known as the Piper course, makes up the other half of the original layout. Playing the shortest of the three nines at 3,191 yards, Piper’s rolling layout was recently renovated with all new sand bunkers, paved cart paths, and increased open spaces for even more enjoyment. The final nine, the Bay Course, is aptly named for its significant areas of water present throughout the layout. The longest of the three nines at just over 3,400 yards and also the course’s newest challenge, Bay is a scenic gem that will force even the most experienced golfers to decide between risk and reward in pursuit of a low score.
Though each differ in length and playability, all of Sandpiper’s 27 holes have one thing in common: brand new MiniVerede Bermuda greens. Known throughout the region as some of the finest putting surfaces around, the greens take Sandpiper’s level of difficulty, and enjoyment, to a whole extra level.
Though the course itself is the best reason to visit Sandpiper Bay Golf and Country Club, it’s not the only reason. Golfers will enjoy access to a full-service practice facility including a natural tee driving range, putting green, and short game area. The pro shop is fully stocked with all of the essentials, and Piper’s Bar and Grill makes for the perfect 19th destination for post-round celebrations.
