Antelope Valley Country Club
Established in 1954, Antelope Valley Country Club has been the go-to home of golf in the High Desert for more than 50 years. The course was designed on a total of 149 acres in the classic style by William P. Bell, Sr., a founding member of the ASGCA. Featuring small, circular greens and long, narrow fairways, Antelope Valley provides a consistent, tried-and-true test of golf.
The course has six different tee locations ranging from 6,769 yards to as little as 5,124 yards, so it's easy to find one to match your skill level. As you tee off on No. 1, keep in mind that although the desert plant life lining the Bermuda-grass fairways is undeniably beautiful, hitting your ball near them can be a disaster for your scorecard.
After navigating the mix of straight and doglegs fairways, mind the bunkers guarding the greens. The greens here are fast and their small size makes it easy to add extra strokes on missed approaches and poorly executed chips.
While a guest at Antelope Valley, check out the practice facility, considered one of the best in the region, featuring a full-length natural grass range, short-game chipping area with bunker, and a large putting green with 18 holes. Plus, as a full-service country club, Antelope Valley also offers golf instruction from PGA pros, tennis courts, a swimming pool and a fitness center.
With everything you could ask for in a private club and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, you won't want to miss out on this "member-for-a-day" opportunity at Antelope Valley Country Club.
