Built in a country style setting that exudes relaxation and beauty, Wood Wind’s impressive layout and masterful conditions have built its reputation as one of the “must-play” courses in the Hoosier State. Stretching more than 6,500 yards from the first tee to the final green, the layout may seem fairly straightforward at first glance – but hidden challenges and tests lay just around every corner. Water is a major factor here, with several forced carries (some larger than others) present throughout the round. Fairways, though eminently hittable, are often guarded by the mature trees that also add to the course’s many postcard like views. The greens are simply put, superb, and will challenge even the most skilled putters with their subtle bits of undulation and surprising amount of speed. However, with many large sand bunkers standing between the fairways and greens, you’ll need to be just as accurate with your short irons and wedges as you are your putter if you want to avoid adding multiple strokes to your score while on the putting surface.

Though the course is certainly the star of the show, the historic clubhouse and fantastic set of amenities come in a close second.
