Honeywell Golf Course
Honeywell Golf Course, located in Wabash, Indiana, is a beautiful and challenging course designed by world-renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills. The course features 18 holes, with the front nine designed by William Diddel in the 1940s and the back nine designed by Hills in the 1980s. The front nine boasts longer, open holes leading to smaller, undulating greens, while the back nine is shorter and narrower, requiring greater accuracy to reach larger greens. Recently, the course underwent a bunker renovation project, installing the Better Billy Bunkers, enhancing the playing experience for golfers of all skill levels.
Owned and operated by the Honeywell Public Golf Course Agency, a joint effort of the City of Wabash and The Honeywell Foundation, Honeywell Golf Course provides a unique and memorable golfing experience for players of any age or ability. The course is managed by a seven-member volunteer board of directors and a professional staff. Financial support comes entirely from daily operations and fundraising activities conducted throughout the year, and the Honeywell Public Golf Course is a not-for-profit organization, with donations being tax deductible.
In addition to providing an excellent golfing experience, Honeywell Golf Course aims to achieve several mission statements, including providing a well-maintained and affordable public golf facility for residents of Wabash and surrounding counties, offering a range of quality services and programs to meet the changing demands of golfing customers, and building a strong image within the community and the State of Indiana by hosting quality tournaments accessible to all.
Golf instruction is also available at Honeywell Golf Course, offering an affordable game improvement tool for players of all skill levels. Customized lessons can be tailored to meet individual needs, schedules, and comfort levels, to improve knowledge and understanding of the game and the golf swing.
