Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club
Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club is one of the oldest private courses in Central Florida and boasts a rich history. Designed and built by renowned golf architect Tom Bendelow and opened to the public in 1922, the course has since been added to the National Register of Historic Places and was the first in Florida to receive this designation.
Over the years, the property has undergone numerous changes and improvements. Most recently, the club installed a $1.5 million irrigation system, which is now in its third growing season. The course also has new carts available for golfers, ensuring a comfortable round.
Golfers of all skill levels will appreciate the 18 prestigious holes of golf at par 72, with the course measuring just over 6,300 yards from the tips. The design features no parallel fairways and roads on both sides of most holes, which historically allowed galleries to follow play in automobiles. And, in the great tradition of Scottish golf, each hole was given a name appropriate to its layout, such as No. 1, "Tower", for the distinctive water tower to the right side.
Temple Terrace is a place where members can escape from the stresses of everyday life, connect with family and friends, forge lasting friendships, and create indelible memories.
Come experience the serene natural beauty of this nationally recognized historical property and see why Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club is a "home away from home" for so many.
