Holly Meadows Golf Course & Banquet Center
In the heart of quaint Capac, Michigan, Holly Meadows Golf Course has been a delightful blend of challenge and beauty for golf enthusiasts since 1996. This 18-hole regulation-length public golf course stretches across 6,303 yards from the longest tees, offering golfers a fun and enjoyable experience infused with a mix of strategy and finesse.
Holly Meadows is more than just a course; it's a player-friendly journey seamlessly integrating wetlands and ponds. These natural elements amplify the course's visual charm while simultaneously setting the stage for a series of strategic decisions for golfers. Many doglegs invite players to think carefully off the tee, but for the bold at heart, taking the driver to cut corners can present shorter routes and better scoring shots.
Water hazards, in the form of serene ponds, are the dominant features here. Their tranquil presence belies the challenge they pose, ensuring golfers remain alert at every swing. Moreover, carefully placed bunkers, especially around the greens, add another layer of intrigue to the play.
Particularly memorable are the last four holes of the front nine. The 6th hole demands a confident shot off the tee along a straight path, leading directly into the 7th with its distinct leftward curve. Then, the course's most challenging par 3 spans 203 yards, hemmed in by water on one side and bunkers on the other. On the back nine, the final stretch is equally engaging, with the 17th and 18th holes both offering a taste of victory. Each has its own set of obstacles, from pond and wetland carries to greens guarded by bunkers.
Beyond its golf offerings, Holly Meadows is a hub of recreation. For those interested in a change of pace, there are 12 bowling lanes available. And after a day of activity, the on-site restaurant welcomes guests with its stunning patio views and a menu of tempting lunch specials. Additionally, a spacious banquet hall, able to accommodate 200 guests, makes Holly Meadows a sought-after venue for events and gatherings.
